The construction project of a space station is massive at first glance, it requires lots of resources and support. However, this is no longer true in the modern times we live in. With the development of new types of technology, many countries and private companies such as SpaceX, have developed reusable rockets, which reduces the cost of space travel. As a result, some wealthy people already have the intention of space travel through commercial spaceships. The fast growth of technology makes people want to ask themselves: is it possible that some day in the future we humans can live in a space station, and enjoy the vast interstellar landscape on a daily basis?
The latest ARK: Survival Evolved expansion “Genesis Part 2” actually fulfills our fantasy. In the background story settings of ARK Genesis, players live in a giant spaceship, which is so big that they don’t even feel like they are living inside of it.
To recreate the environment of Earth, the spaceship in ARK: Genesis has a large biomimicry system, housing a lot of dinosaurs and many other different creatures, creating a sense of habitat for players. The ship has two rings, the right side is a biome with green terrain where regular creatures live, while the left side is a corrupted ring with terrain covered with a strange purple substance and full of nightmarish creatures. The ship is traveling through deep space in search of a habitable planet.
As time goes by, the spaceships featured in the Ark: Genesis Part 2 expansion may one day appear in reality, at that time, even ordinary people have the opportunity to live in the space station, and enjoy the vast view of the mysterious space.
